"Experience the world, enjoy your life, and music will heal the heart and soul." These thoughts characterize Terri’s mood as she reflects on her inspiration for her forth coming debut release. The album "A Soul Dedication", explores the diverse sides of passion, love, and relationships. In this first release, after years of collaborating with so many artists, it was time for Terri step onto the center stage and delivers music that truly represents an authentic version of the sounds that were shaped by her travels, experience, and life. These melodic songs offer a refreshing nostalgic spin to popular music today. The Terri Green Project takes us on a journey of sound with flavors of the late 70s and early eighties and charmingly blends these sounds into today’s classics. It is a refreshing breeze in the midst of so many predictable styles in today’s music scene. The Terri Green Project, a Soul Dedication, is truly one of a kind.
Terri co-wrote nine of the ten songs for the album. She has enjoyed a successful career penning songs for many successful international artists. Over the years, she has used her writing talents penning songs for several popular artist including, Lutricia McNeal (Perfect Love), Sarah Connor (call me, paradise), Chris Norman (Amazing) and even managed to duet with Rock legend Udo Lindenburg, on his "Good Life City" album.
Terri’s true passion is performing. Constantly touring around the world, supporting her joint endeavors with various pop and dance acts, she decided it was time to face forward and show her audience which direction she wanted to go musically in the next phase of her career. Terri spent more than a year, between extensive touring and putting the finishing touches on this album. Currently collaborating on a new single with grammy winner Roger Sanchez, she says "It was well worth the wait and I enjoyed the experiences I’ve gained by working with so many diverse phenomenal artists."
"The highlight of the next year will be taking the TERRI GREEN PROJECT on the road." The band is already receiving invitations from Australia, Moscow, and naturally Europe. Her band includes some of the brightest musicians in today’s international music scene.
This album has something for everyone. Some will fall in love with the danceable rendition of "On The Radio", or the heart felt ballad penned together with Grammy nominated writer Stephen Dorf, "Should Have Seen it Coming", others will gravitate towards the soulful contributions of saxophonist Toddi Reed, featured on several titles, notably "Far and Away", produced by Jochen Mueller of Brisbane, Australia. Terri has traveled around the globe to make this a reality, determined to find the right chemistry and to create a great adult contemporary album. Taking you back to the times of Culture Club or the Blow Monkeys, when an hypnotic bassline cruised beneath a clear chorus and a funky guitar laced the background. This number is hooky, easy to listen to, but perfectly clear in its message. A cool saxophone solo and beautiful string arrangement make this such an easy song to enjoy.

A tribute to her idol barry white, the team worked hard to create not only a song that was memorable but that also utilized the balance of symphonic pop and soul music. The string emsemble on this number is truly the highlight beneath Terri’s warm voice.

Another groovy bass number that really showcases the vocals of Terri Bjerre at her best. The song allows room for a slow progression to a chorus that keeps you humming along.

Dynamic uptempo groove with a disco flair. This song will pays homage to the great Emotions and other great artist who weren’t afraid to add glamour to the vocal and rev up the pace.

It grooves, its pop, its soul and it brings the message home clear, soul is here to stay.
The band follows Terri from the first note with a driving push that never lets you down.
This title added another dimension to the release but still keeps the disc on track theme-wise. Truly a soul dedication.

This title takes you back to a time of pianist and vocalist delivering an entire performance with and without the orchestra. Light and refreshing, this song offers a hint of the 70s but with a bit of today.
Should have Seen it Coming (t. bjerre/s. h. dorff)
Together with hit songwriter Stephen H. Dorff, Broadway Composer and grammy nominated writer, who penned songs for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, Kenny Rogers, and even Terri’s idols the Carepenters, sat down to write a title for the new Whitney Houston Lp and the jury is still out on if it is used, but Terri wanted to cut a version for their release, with Steve’s blessing. Songwriting in its best form, this title will be recorded many times.
On the Radio (G. Moroder, D. Summer)
Donna Summer was no. 1 when Terri fell in love with her and still a small child but now she only wanted the chance to record one of her favorite songs. No one can compare to Donna, Terri will tell you, but in her own way and style, and voice color, she focused on
Bringing the same title to another rhythm and maintaining dance anthem status.

Acoustic soul reminiscent of Sade in her earlier recordings. The use of E-piano, saxaphon and a smooth rhythm section make this a delight to the ears and once again showcasing the diversity

So könnten Schlagwörter Terris erstes Album beschreiben.
Terri Greens positives Wesen, ihr lebhaftes Temprament sind in allen Songs zu spüren. So geht es auch in den Titeln meist um Partnerschaft und Liebe. Terri Green ist eine echte kreative Künstlerin, so wie ihre großen Vorbilder aus der "guten alten Zeit". Alle Originaltitel stammen aus ihrer Feder. Auch die Melodien zu ihren Songs hat sie selbst geschrieben. Als Songwriterin war sie schon für Lutrica McNeal und Chris Norman tätig.
Nun hat sie 1 Jahr Arbeit an ihrem eigenen Soloalbum hinter sich und freut sich mit ihrer Musik und ihrer Band endlich auf die Bühne zu gehen. Mit ihrer tragenden Altstimme entführt sie den Zuhörer in eine wunderschöne Klangwelt. Vom tanzbaren Groove, über ohrwurm-verdächtigen Songs bis zur emotionaler Ballade gibt uns Terri Green in ihren Songs ein abwechslungsreiches Debutalbum.
Produziert wurde das Album in New York, LA, Hamburg, Kopenhagen und Brisbane.

Beginnt mit dem Chorus und mit Einsetzen der Rhytmusgruppe ist uns klar wo die Reise hingeht: zurück in die 80er Jahre als George Benson, Quincy Jones, Soul 2 Soul und die Blow Monkeys in den Charts waren. Knackige Bläser, funky Gitarren, schwebende Streichermelodien, eine Melodie und ein Saxophonsolo, die im Ohr bleiben, knüpfen an diese Tradition an.

Schon vom ersten Akkord an und dem Sprechgesang von Terri Green werden wir eingeladen auf eine Reise in die gute alte Zeit der Orchester Soulmusik wie dem Love Unlimited Orchestra von Barry White oder der Donald Byrd Hardbob Danceband. Immer wieder ertönt der Refrain "give me one more chance" und löst sich am Ende in einem Adlib Reigen und großem Streicherensemble auf. Hier begleitet ein groovender Bass Terris schwebende Melodie bis zu Chorus. Und dieser macht uns die Worte glauben: Everything I do macht richtig gute Stimmung. Bis zum Ende wird es mehr und der Track swingt zu Terris "I steal a star for you tonight".

Ein schön beschwingter Song, der mit großer Intstrumentierung, viel Holz und Blech und einem super Saxophonsolo an die Zeit von Earth Wind and Fire und The Emotions erinnert. Terri Greens Stimme ist hier so richtig rauchig und führt zum Ende hin in einen typischen Motown Turnaround.

Der Track ist ebenfalls groß instrumentiert. Mit Terris You and me kann man seinem Schatz eine wahre Freude machen. Der Song grooved, ist eine tolle Mischung aus alter Kompostionskunst und neuem Sound. Das Zusammenspiel von Stimme und Band passt wirklich zum Titel: You and me eine Partnerschaft fürs Leben.

Mit dem sanften Sound anlehnend an Burt Bacharach und die wunderbare Dionne Warwick schwebt Terris Stimme intim und melancholisch über die Harmonien. Hier wird uns klar, dass Terri nicht nur eine große Stimme hat, sondern einen weiten unverwechselbaren Alt besitzt. Ja einen teilweise verzückten hypnotischen Zustand erreicht man. Heute heißt das wohl Easy Listening. Früher war es ein Lebensgefühl.

Zusammen mit dem großen Broadway Komponisten Steven Dorff hat Terri diesen Titel über das Leben zu zweit geschrieben. Im Stile einer Withney Houston Ballade singt Terri über die Partnerschaft und die lange Zeit zuzweit. Ihre Stimme trägt die Melodie über die offenen Harmonien und die tolle Songstruktur. Ein Gospelartiges Fine hinterlässt ein whow...
On the radio (G. Moroder, D. Summer) - neue Aufnahme
Als Donna Summer den Georgio Moroder Track aufnahm war Terri noch ein kleines Mädchen. Es war für lange Zeit ihr absoluter Lieblingssong. Ihre neue Version von on the radio ist ein Tribute und gleichzeitig eine Hommage an Terris zweite Karriere. Als Terri B. ist sie eine angesehene House- und Dancemusic Künstlerin. So ist der "Remix" von on the radio auch sehr tanzbar.

Auch der Akustik Soul fehlt nicht auf dem Album. So far away ist sehr reduziert gehalten und nur mit einer sparsamen Streichermelodie hinterlegt. Ansonsten gibt es E-Piano, Rhytmuscombo und Saxophon. Ein wenig Sade? Warum nicht.
